They are made of glass, plastic, and some new environmentally engineered windows. Glass is the most popular since it doesn’t intrude on the space or block any light. Some people do opt for plastic since it doesn’t break as easily and it has a long life. It’s a matter of personal preference.
Interior storm windows are easy to operate and convenient to use. They are great insulators when they are closed, but they can also be opened to allow fresh air to enter the room. They can be removed easily for cleaning when needed, or they can be cleaned in place.

Screen windows are another important option for consideration. With window screens, you are able to enjoy the warmth of the outdoor air or the coolness of a spring breeze. Window screens are economical and easy to install.
