Consider the Cost Before Starting
Before You buy all the materials and any tools you might need to build your own custom computer desk, consider the costs involved. For one thing, ask yourself what your motivation is. That is, do you simply want a cheap computer desk, a high-quality one that you can customize to fit your needs, or are you interested in building a family heirloom that you can pass down to your kids? The answer to this question is important because if all you want is a place to stash your computer, you may find that you can buy a computer desk cheaper than you can make one. You can always buy it pre-cut if you don't have the tools but you'll find that you have many more options available to you if you do have your own tools.
